Haul | Topshop, Boots & H&M + A Cheeky Video?!

Hi Guys!
A few days ago I tried to bring you guys a haul post, but I was having one of those 'Nothing is working' days and the photos looked awful! So after much deliberation, I decided to make my first Youtube video! It's something I've been wanting to do this for years. And I actually did make about 5 videos years and years ago. (which are long gone I may add).

There's no harm in trying right? So Please let me know your thoughts and feelings bellow and any suggestions would be lovely! But please go easy on me, I'm still a novice and still have a lot to work out! :)

Beauty Haul | MAC

Hey Lovelies!
Over my birthday I took a trip to my local MAC and bought my very first MAC lipstick (well two actually!) I couldn't decide which one I| loved more and did they typical 'It's my birthday so i'll treat myself to both', which i'd been doing all week!
I'm always a little wary of lipstick colours and I didn't want to spend £14 on a horrible shade so I pretty much let the make up artist try about 12 lipsticks on me and before we settled on Captive, which is a Satin finish, and Girl About Town which is an Amplified finish. Every day since i've bought them I've worn Captive and every night out i've swapped it for Girl About Town, which works perfectly with the  Lipliner I picked up in the shade 'Magenta' (which was £11.50) I never would have chosen these shades for myself but I don't see myself wearing anything else on my lips for a long time!
I also re purchased my Pro Longwear Concealer I picked up the shade NC42, typically im going on holiday next week and no doubt it wont match when I get back but this is my shade for the majority of the year so I know I'll get use out of it!

Clothes Haul | A few birthday bits!

Hey Lovelies!
This Monday was my 19th Birthday, I had such a lovely day spending it with family and friends and I thought I would show you some of the clothes I picked up during a birthday shopping trip with my mum!

Urban Outfitters - Printed Dress Around £35
I picked this gorgeous dress up from Urban Outfitters a few days back. I love the blue and orange colours and the unique print. I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and I thought this would be perfect for a meal out as its so light weight, I love how it sits, it almost reminds me of a 60's Twiggy-esque style fit, but with a lovely modern patter.
River Island - 'KISS' Shorts £30
I saw these babies on Patricia Brights Video, and like her I was looking for a pair of 'dream shorts' I have to admit that these are exactly that! I was 'blessed' with a rather large bum which means buying shorts can be a right pain in the backside! (excuse the pun!) Shorts tend to fit round my bum and then HANNNNG off my waist or the other way around. But these fit me really well and are going to be a staple in my holiday wardrobe!

Zara - Flower print Bandeau £15
This is only my second ever zara purchase and I have no idea why I havent been in there, I had to hold myself back to just this one thing to start with! I think im in love with this bandeau top, I love the colours and I think they work well with my darker skin tone. There is a full length zip down the side which I love as it adds detail and makes for a secure fit! I can't wait to whack this out while im away!

River Island - Green Strappy Top £6
I've been looking for a colourful thin strappy top for a while now, when I picked this top up there was a mark on it and it was the last size 8 so they reduced the price down to £6 for me from £10 however since I've worn it again its stained again, im not sure if its my deodorant or not but It hasn't come out in the wash either, so if you have any tips on stain removal please let me know as I really love this top!

New Look - White Crop Top - gift
This was a gift from my bestie so im not sure on the price. However i've been looking to pick up a top like this for awhile now I think they're basics that everyone needs in their wardrobe and works brilliantly with anything!

Primark - Sandal Shoes - £12 each
I actually went to Zara to pick up a pair of strappy sandals to wear on my birthday and I couldn't believe it when they didn't have any size 6/7 sandal heels at all! so I headed to Primark as I knew they had a few styles, I found both of these in my size for £12 each! Bargin, and if you ask me they dont look anything like Primark! The black shoes are a combination of suede and a patent material. And the red are completely suede  I couldn't decide which pair I loved more so I picked up both as a treat to myself!

Haul | Primark & Urban Outfitters!

Hey Lovelies!
I went out and did a spot of solo shopping today after uni (the joys of living so close to west quay!) and I thought I would share with you the things I picked up!

Deep Khaki Peplum Top - £4
First I picked up this top from Primark. I love these tops, I think they're perfect now to layer with cardigans and brilliant in the summer because they're so light. They add a little something extra to a standard T-shirt and I'm constantly dressing them up with Disco Pants for a night out!

Contrast Peplum Top - £8
While I was in Primark I also happened to see another peplum top hanging on its own on a random hanger. I love the black/white colour contrast in this top and although you can't really see in this the straps cross over at the back, which I think is a nice touch! I think I have a bit of a peplum obsession at the moment, but I love the trend, they're so versatile and really compliment my figure.

Already managed to get foundation on the neck! Typical!
Black and White Midi Length Bodycon - £10
This beautiful dress is by far my favourite purchase. On the hanger it doesn't look anything exceptionally special but on its really flattering and figure hugging in all the right places! I love this print its something I've never seen before and really eye catching! I've never owned a midi dress before but I thought this was a brilliant start.

I also picked up some Gel insoles. I can't imagine ever wearing a pair of heels without these! They really do stop my feet hurting, and they actually last for a relatively good time considering they are £1.50. I also picked up some gloves as I don't own a single pair! These are suitable for touch screen in the thumb and first finger and actually work, for £1.50 I'm not complaining!

A few of you who have me on instagram (meganmanneh) will have seen another Urban Outfitters bag I picked up a few months ago. I fell in love with that bag but after a few weeks the buckle broke leaving it useless so I went back to Urban Outfitters and they kindly gave me store credit which I've now used on this beauty! I think I'll do a separate post on the In's and out's of it but for now I thought I'd give you a sneak peak!

The Body Shop Haul!

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you guys are all aright! Just a quick thank you before we delve in for all your lovely comments and support, keep them coming, they make my day! Anyway onto the post! The Body Shop are doing a brilliant 3 for 2 offer on all skincare at the moment (they've also got some awesome online offers too!) and even though I only went in there for 1 thing, I came home with 3... oops!

During my daily blog read I stumbled across a post on Stacey's blog about The Body Shops Vitamin E Eye Cream. Ive never used an eye cream as part of my skincare routine before, but my routine is going through a bit of a re-vamp and now is a great time to be in some new products! I've only used this product a few times and  I'm planning on doing a more in depth review in my upcoming skin care routine post. But my initial response is good, It smells great and a little goes a long way so I know its going to keep me going awhile! I feel its to soon to see any results in terms of dark circles, but my eyes definitely feel less puffy! The eye cream cost me £9.50

The next product I picked up was The Body Shop Seaweed Day Cream. I've been specifically looking for a day cream for awhile now, and this one claimed to be Mattifying. I suffer from quite oily skin around my T-zone, so a moisturiser claiming to give a matte, shine-free complexion is something I couldn't ignore. The moisturiser is of a gel-like consistency and reminds me of blancmange! If anyone remembers that! But it feels great on the skin, lovely and light weight and I feel it creates a great base for my make-up. As for keeping me shine-free I have to say my skin feels much less oily, especially on my nose! I've only used the product a few times but so far so good! The day cream cost me  £9.00 but because of the 3 for 2 offer I got it for free!

The last product I picked up is the Seaweed Night Treatment. I've never used a night treatment before and its not something i've heard a lot about, so I thought i'd give it a try! (I also needed a third product for the offer) You smooth the treatment gel onto your face after cleansing and toning and leave it on over night. Like the day cream this product claims to leave skin hydrated, clear and shine-free. I did notice that my skin was less oily this morning. I also had a spot on my cheek and this morning it was noticeably less red and angry, whether that was just timing or the product, I don't know but I'm more than happy to use this as part of my routine! The treatment gel cost me £10.00.

Thank you again for all your support! Leave any questions or requests below!

Shoes Haul!

Hey Lovelies!

I used to watch videos and read blogs about shoe hauls and I always used to think 'how can they buy that many shoes'.... yeah, now I know. My reasoning for this is I'm going on holiday on sunday with my friends and I'm stocking up! (Plus I've been dying for a pair of wedges for agesssss)So i'll get right into it!

These are the first pair of shoes I bought for my 18th Birthday, Ive stalked eBay for months just gazing at these shoes but never actually plucked up the courage to buy them, until now! I thought for my 18th I wanted something special and unique and I think these fit the bill, and for £22.99 (plus £2.99 p&p) you can't go wrong! They arrived in around 3 days and I think I fell in love. They have to be the highest heel I've ever worn, over 6 inches (my mum actually measured them!) But because of the huge platform they aren't that painful, although after the 5 hour of wearing them I felt the pain! In summary I love them!(Click here for link)

The second pair of shoes I bought were from New Look during a mini shopping session with my mum! I originally wanted these shoes in the off white colour but typically they didn't have my size! So I got these mint green ones instead, Once I got them home I was less sure and ummed and ahh-ed about taking them back, but after trying them with some outfits I realised how awesome they were. I love the colour (I'm all into bringing the pastel trend into the summer too!) and I think i'll be rocking these in the sun a lot! They cost me £24.99 but well worth it! (Click here for link)

The next pair I picked up are also from New Look. New Look launched a new huge online sale earlier this week (check it out if you haven't while sizes last!) with up to 70% off items, and I had been eyeing these babies up for weeks. So when they were reduced from £39.99 to £12.00 I couldn't say no. Ive wanted to try out the flatform trend and thought these were a great starter! They're real suede and are sooooo comfy, they arrived this morning and I can't wait to try them out! (Click here for link)

The last pair of shoes are again from New Look (I see a pattern emerging...) And these again were in the same sale. A few days before I noticed the sale, I had been scrolling through online and stopped when I saw these. The only reason I didn't buy them there and then was my budget doesn't normally stretch to £49.99. However in the glorious sale they went down to £15.00. These shoes are so comfy, which is weird considering they're heels, I love the two tone straps and the different shades work great with my skin tone. I also like the wooden heel and tribal feel of them! Perfect summer shoes! (Click here for link)

Hope you enjoyed this blog, thank you to all my followers for all your lovely comments! I read all of them so please keep leaving them! If you have any questions or blog suggestions let me know!

Review : Benefit boi-ing industrial-strength concealer

Hey lovelies!

So surprise surprise, I went shopping again! After spending days longingly stalking Benefits websites I caved and headed down to boots, and picked up boi-ing industrial strength concealer. To start with I wanted to clarify if your looking for an under-eye concealer boi-ing is not what your looking for. boi-ing is perfect for blemishes, marks and scars. If its an under-eye concealer Benefits erase paste is your gal!

Although I can see boi-ing is a good product that does what it claims, I can't say I'm in love with it yet, and I don't know if i would repurchase it. Don't get me wrong the thick creamy consistency gives you great coverage which lasts all day, the only problem I have with boi-ing is that it only comes in 5 shades, and as we all know there are a lot more than 5 different skin shades. Typically I fall in-between 04 and 05. I did get matched up in store by a lady at the counter but in my desperation I'm pretty sure I would have settled for anything to just have boi-ing in my life (sad, I know). However all is not lost, although it 05 is a tad to dark for me, with some heavy blending and foundation it does what I wanted it to do, cover up all the nasty bits! So I can't complain if they ever bought out more shades I would be the first customer, I only recommend making sure the colour is right for  you before forking out the £16.50.
Along with the concealer the lady gave me a couple free samples, which allows me to justify the £16!

The first thing she gave me was the sample size of Hello flawless oxygen wow foundation which was great! During my days spent trawling Benefits website I had been very tempted by this foundation and was keen to try it out. She matched me in the shade hazelnut (I'm hopelessly hot), and even the names of the shades got me excited! the colour on this matches me great! I've worn it every day since I've got it, and started blending it with my usual foundation and B.B. cream just to make it last that little bit longer! Love it, and will definatley be buying the full size product!

The last thing I was given was a sample of the Triple performing facial emulsion which I have actually tried before during a previous promotion Benefit did, where bringing any empty cosmetics bottle from any brand got you a sample of this product, I ended up with 3! And its safe to say I've not even finished the first. I never felt the product worked with my skin type which is spot prone and oily at times, however this was a good year-ish ago, and my skin care regime consisted of a make up wipe. So now I have another sample I may give it ago again!

Hope you liked this style of post! Thank you for all the lovely comments, and feel free to leave me any questions or post ideas bellow!
