She Said Beauty Event & Forever 21 Haul!

Hey Lovelies!

Once again, I have been a bad blogger and been missing for awhile now, (10 days in blogger world is like a year I swear!) Ive been working crazy amounts and when I've not been working I've been sleeping! But I'm trying very hard to post regularly now and things in my personal life are beginning to settle down.
Last week I was also lucky enough to go to London to the She Said Beauty: Social Network Website Launch! My lovely friend Brogan was kind enough to bring me along with her, and it was a brilliant day! The She Said Beauty team were lovely and amazing, we got to meet the CEO and have a chat about where the company is going and all the new things that are soon coming into play, and trust me they are worth the wait, (for a sneak peak click to see Brogans blog post here on the up and coming changes!) We also had our make up and eyelashes professionally done while sat sipping cocktails! I had a brilliant day and to top it off I left with a huuuuuge bag of goodies including OPI nail varnish, The Style File and so many more, I'd like to send huge thank you's to She Said Beauty. You can find a link to my She Said Beauty profile by clicking here.

While we were in London we hit a few shops and I thought i'd include what I picked up in Forever 21, I live nowhere near a Forever 21 and get a bit excited when I see one!
The first thing I picked up was a new bag, can you believe I don't actually own a black bag?! I saw this one hanging on its own on a rail and made a run for it! I love the studs on the front and I loveeeee how the straps being half way up the length of the bag mean it can fold over itself, I love the way it sits and makes it different. The bag was missing a tag so the cashier offered me 15% off which was brilliant so I paid around £21.

Ive recently been looking for a new purse as I hated my old one, and I made it my mission to find a new purse while I was in London. I picked this up in Forever 21 too. I love how sleek and simple it is, and there are so many card and money slots, Ive fallen in love and think I may cry when it breaks, and I  was pleasantly surprised when it went through the checkout at £8 and not the £10 on the ticket! I got student discount on top of that so it was around the £7 mark.

I promise I won't be this absent again and will get a post to you guys at least once a week! Thank you for all the new lovely followers! If you have any questions or post requests pop them bellow! Until next time!

The Body Shop Haul!

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you guys are all aright! Just a quick thank you before we delve in for all your lovely comments and support, keep them coming, they make my day! Anyway onto the post! The Body Shop are doing a brilliant 3 for 2 offer on all skincare at the moment (they've also got some awesome online offers too!) and even though I only went in there for 1 thing, I came home with 3... oops!

During my daily blog read I stumbled across a post on Stacey's blog about The Body Shops Vitamin E Eye Cream. Ive never used an eye cream as part of my skincare routine before, but my routine is going through a bit of a re-vamp and now is a great time to be in some new products! I've only used this product a few times and  I'm planning on doing a more in depth review in my upcoming skin care routine post. But my initial response is good, It smells great and a little goes a long way so I know its going to keep me going awhile! I feel its to soon to see any results in terms of dark circles, but my eyes definitely feel less puffy! The eye cream cost me £9.50

The next product I picked up was The Body Shop Seaweed Day Cream. I've been specifically looking for a day cream for awhile now, and this one claimed to be Mattifying. I suffer from quite oily skin around my T-zone, so a moisturiser claiming to give a matte, shine-free complexion is something I couldn't ignore. The moisturiser is of a gel-like consistency and reminds me of blancmange! If anyone remembers that! But it feels great on the skin, lovely and light weight and I feel it creates a great base for my make-up. As for keeping me shine-free I have to say my skin feels much less oily, especially on my nose! I've only used the product a few times but so far so good! The day cream cost me  £9.00 but because of the 3 for 2 offer I got it for free!

The last product I picked up is the Seaweed Night Treatment. I've never used a night treatment before and its not something i've heard a lot about, so I thought i'd give it a try! (I also needed a third product for the offer) You smooth the treatment gel onto your face after cleansing and toning and leave it on over night. Like the day cream this product claims to leave skin hydrated, clear and shine-free. I did notice that my skin was less oily this morning. I also had a spot on my cheek and this morning it was noticeably less red and angry, whether that was just timing or the product, I don't know but I'm more than happy to use this as part of my routine! The treatment gel cost me £10.00.

Thank you again for all your support! Leave any questions or requests below!

Dutyfree haul and my week in Magaluf!

Hey Lovelies

I mentioned briefly in my last blog that I was going on holiday with all my friends, I got back yesterday and thought I would share some photos of my time! I had an amazing time with my friends, we stayed in a lovely hotel (amazing considering your in Magaluf anyway haha!) We had a typical girls holiday, chilled all day and out all night. Definitely the best week of my life, i'll never forget it.
So as per usual I had a shopping list for the airport, I like to take full advantage of Duty Free. My first stop was the MAC stand. For a few weeks now I've been looking more into powders as they are something i've never really incorporated into my make up routine before, and I thought i'd treat myself for holiday and picked up the MAC mineralise skin finish natural I can't remember the exact price and the recite didn't make it back from the holiday but because of duty free I think it was around £19.

Next i wanted a new summer fragrance, about a year ago I got Marc Jacobs Daisy as a birthday present, and Im only just starting to run out and the packaging, although beautiful, is so bulky I didn't want to bring the whole bottle for the tiny bit of I have left. I'd heard mention of ESCADA's 3 summer fragrances, Sexy Graffiti, Island Kiss and Rockin Rio. So I thought this was a good chance to give them a smell. I liked all 3 of them but it was Island Kiss that caught my eye. Its got a fruity smell to it and reminds me of water mellon, but in a fresh scent. I thought it was a lovely light, fresh scent perfect for summer and a good day time scent as well! Again the price escapes me but around £28 I think (I'm awful, Sorry!)

Also a little side note which I think I was just as excited about as my actually holiday, was this box of goodies that I found waiting for me on my bed! My mum was given a huge box of rejected lush bath bombs that couldn't be sold because they were chipped or slightly broken! I can't believe it, some of them are in such good condition I wouldn't even think twice about buying them in store, one mans loss is another gain I guess! Thought i'd  also include a few sneaky snaps of my holiday too and say a Thank you because when I arrived home I realised i'd hit the 50 followers mark! Thank you guys so much for reading!

Hope you guys don't mind the more personal blogs!
Any suggestions or questions leave them bellow and i'll get back to you!

Summer Skin care Update!

Hey lovelies!

So being English I'm going to stereotypically talk about the beautiful English summer that has finally  began to show its face, and typically the second the sun creeps out is the same second my skin decides to go into meltdown, meaning more shopping! (shame!)

A few days before I went shopping I was looking around online and stumbled apon the Witch anti-blemish skin clearing primer, I haven't found my perfect primer yet and I'm always on the hunt for one, and this baby claims to fight and prevent spots and keep your make up on too, I couldn't turn down this challenge! I found this in Superdrug and at half price too (£3.49). I also spotted it in Tesco too. This is probably the best £3.49 I've spent in months! To begin with I was very impressed with the texture, its creamy and soaks in well. It created a great base for my make up, and counteracted some of the redness I have on my cheeks. During the day I was also noticing my make up was staying on longer, and still looked nice and refreshed. And ontop of all that I've noticed a significant reduction in breakouts! I know right?! Stop traffic! I think I may have found my perfect primer.

Also in Superdrug, I picked up was the Garnier Pure Active 2in1 Anti-spots roll on. I'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing about picking this up in Boots, but the product only comes in two shades and I didn't want to fork out £7 in boots on a product that wasn't the right shade. When I saw it at half price (£3.82) in Superdrug, I was slightly keener to try it out and the lady actually let me try it out right there and then! You apply this over spots and it claims to fight the spot and also lightly conceal it at the same time. I haven't been able to full try this out yet, as touch wood i haven't had many breakouts recently, but the few times I did I was impressed, and felt it did reduce the redness and inflammation of the spot, so a thumbs up!

Next I went into Boots, and of course there was a 3 for 2 offer running, and of course the one item I wanted was in the offer, and of course I had to find two other products! The actual product I wanted was the Neutrogena Wave duo cleansing pads, Ive had the actually Wave Duo for a few months and I swear by it! Its palm sized power cleanser, you put these pads on top of it, soak it underwater and wash your face with (I will do a review soon, otherwise this will be one loooong post!)

So to go with the offer, and keeping with the theme of skin care I picked up the Witch Blemish StickI wanted this because before this I didn't own anything to put directly on spots, and was forced to using watered down TCB (shame on me I know!) So far this is great, its doing the job and isn't burning half my skin off with it!

The last thing I picked up in boots was the St. Ives Blemish Fighting Scrub. Ive seen this on a few peoples blogs and was eager to give it a try, So far I'm liking it. I can't say I've seen any dramatic changes to my skin from this, but I feel like its not hurting my skin either, and that it is exfoliating it well, which is what I want from a scrub. Also it smells edible! Apricot is a particular favourite of mine!

Last issue was my legs! During they winter they tend to get slightly neglected (Seeing as nobody see's them) I've always quite dry skin on my legs and they definitely needed a quick pick me up. I grabbed the Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion  while I was in Sainsbury's about a week ago and I laaaaav it! For as long as I can remember I've been using Palmers Cocoa Butter but I thought I would try something new! Although this is Cocoa Butter, it smells completely different, in a good new refreshing way, and its done wonders to my skin!

Sorry for the long rambly post!
Thank you for reading and all the lovely comments!

Review : Benefit boi-ing industrial-strength concealer

Hey lovelies!

So surprise surprise, I went shopping again! After spending days longingly stalking Benefits websites I caved and headed down to boots, and picked up boi-ing industrial strength concealer. To start with I wanted to clarify if your looking for an under-eye concealer boi-ing is not what your looking for. boi-ing is perfect for blemishes, marks and scars. If its an under-eye concealer Benefits erase paste is your gal!

Although I can see boi-ing is a good product that does what it claims, I can't say I'm in love with it yet, and I don't know if i would repurchase it. Don't get me wrong the thick creamy consistency gives you great coverage which lasts all day, the only problem I have with boi-ing is that it only comes in 5 shades, and as we all know there are a lot more than 5 different skin shades. Typically I fall in-between 04 and 05. I did get matched up in store by a lady at the counter but in my desperation I'm pretty sure I would have settled for anything to just have boi-ing in my life (sad, I know). However all is not lost, although it 05 is a tad to dark for me, with some heavy blending and foundation it does what I wanted it to do, cover up all the nasty bits! So I can't complain if they ever bought out more shades I would be the first customer, I only recommend making sure the colour is right for  you before forking out the £16.50.
Along with the concealer the lady gave me a couple free samples, which allows me to justify the £16!

The first thing she gave me was the sample size of Hello flawless oxygen wow foundation which was great! During my days spent trawling Benefits website I had been very tempted by this foundation and was keen to try it out. She matched me in the shade hazelnut (I'm hopelessly hot), and even the names of the shades got me excited! the colour on this matches me great! I've worn it every day since I've got it, and started blending it with my usual foundation and B.B. cream just to make it last that little bit longer! Love it, and will definatley be buying the full size product!

The last thing I was given was a sample of the Triple performing facial emulsion which I have actually tried before during a previous promotion Benefit did, where bringing any empty cosmetics bottle from any brand got you a sample of this product, I ended up with 3! And its safe to say I've not even finished the first. I never felt the product worked with my skin type which is spot prone and oily at times, however this was a good year-ish ago, and my skin care regime consisted of a make up wipe. So now I have another sample I may give it ago again!

Hope you liked this style of post! Thank you for all the lovely comments, and feel free to leave me any questions or post ideas bellow!

Haul - New look, Boots & Tesco!

Hey everyone!
Sorry for my absence, I've been crazy busy but things have calmed down and I can give you my undivided attention now! Also Thank you to everyone who's started following me. It was a loveeeely surprise!
So I thought I would come back with a haul! I went up to West Quay in Southampton last Friday with my friends, unfortunately my bank account didn't want me to go crazy but i managed to pick up a few bits and bobs.
First stop was New look! I'm quite a New look lover, and without even realising they slightly dominate my wardrobe. but who can resist! I picked up these two tops in the 2 for £6 offer. Which to me is a bargain! I love the two row straps, I think its such a pretty twist on a standard top. It sits just on my belly button and drapes down the sides and I thought they would just be prefect for summer! (When it decides to show its face!)

Also in New look I picked up this Aztec style print top. I'm a slight sucker for Aztec print as well and I loved how it resembled the American Flag as well! I'm not normally a fan of high neck lines, but I love how it sits! This was £12.99 if memory serves me well. But I got student discount which was even better!

Next stop was boots! I went in there planning to pick up something completely different to what I actually bought (as usual) But I got distracted by L'oreal's two for £14 offer! straight away the l'oreal Telescopic Mascara caught my eye. I've been meaning to pick this up for ages. It is probably the best mascara i own. I love using it on my bottom lashes too, and I really don't like the look of mascara on my bottom lashes. such a good investment!

To go with the offer I picked up a Color Riche lipstick in the shade Luminous Coral. Which I loveeee! It smells amazing! Which I know sounds weird but it truly does, and its so moisturising. It feels more like a balm then a lipstick. The shade works great with my skin tone and I love how only the label it states 'Brunettes' or 'Blondes' seeing as I seem to forever be buying the wrong shade for me! A lovely, bright, spring shade.

Next I headed to Tesco on the way home and found these babies hiding away at the back! I have been looking for ages for a pair of pastel trousers and these caught my eyes right away! I feel ankle grazers are a true sign that spring is here, and I'm going to embrace it no matter what mother nature says! I got these for £14. And they look great with the white top from new look!

Let me know if you have any questions or blog suggestions!

Current Beauty Loves!

I've recently become a bit of a shopaholic, which is never a good thing for your bank balance. So in order for something good to come out of my spending mishaps (other than the sweet satisfaction of having something new to play with) I thought I would share my latest 'loves' The things I'm constantly reaching for and things I feel have changed my skin and body.

1. Bioderma Sensibio.

I think everyone and their mother has heard of Bioderma, but just incase Bioderma is a water based cleanser/make-up remover. It's main ingredient is Water so great for sensitive skin, I've actually only used the product a few times so I don't wanna give it a review just yet. But oh my gosh do i understand the hype! its so gentle and soft, does the job perfectly and to top it off leaves your skin feeling amazingly soft. I was lucky enough to be given this by a colleague of my mums, but I know its easy to get of Ebay for around £9 including P&P.

2. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector
(All-In-One B.B. Cream)

Boots - £7.49 on special offer

I've recently come back from holiday and my skin tone has changed completely, my foundation was the wrong shade and just left my skin feeling clogged cakey, so I decided to invest in a B.B. cream  I still wanted light coverage to hide any scars and even out my skin tone, but foundations seem so unappealing right now and i kinda got used to embracing a more bare face while I was away. (I know sounds crazy but stay with me) I picked this up from Boots while it was on offer over the weekend and so far I'm loving it! It smells amazing but not in am overpowering perfumed way, just nicely scented. It gave me just the right amount of coverage, hiding any little nasties but still leaving your skin feeling nice and light.

3. Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil

Boots but I can't remember the price!

A few months ago my hair hit the 'point of no return' the ends where awful, it was dry and refused to comply with my demands. I have thick naturally curly hair (thanks to my African roots) which I do have chemically straightened, this plus the constant blowdrying and straightening left my hair begging for mercy. I completely updated my hair care routine, got rid of the nasty chemicals and added Argan oil. I wasn't ready to splash out on Moroccan oil so instead I bought Organix much cheaper version from Boots, and I love it! My hair has never been in such good condition. I apply it to the ends of my hair after i've washed it and sometimes if its feeling really dry during the week, and it just makes it feel so great! I have so few split ends I started to doubt my eye site. I would recommend to anyone debating on splurging on Moroccan oil to at least give this a try. Its a fraction of the price and does exactly what I need it to do!

4. Bio-Oil PurCellin Oil

Tesco - £7.79

When I was younger all the way up until i was about 12ish i was a right shorty, it never bothered me but apparently my body disagreed and decided to go through a huuuuge growth spurt over a very short space of time. Although I'm now an average height I've been left with stretch marks on the top of my thighs, I hoped they would fade with time but alas no, and so I've turned to Bio-Oil the only thing i regret is not doing this sooner! I've been using the product twice daily rubbing it into the problem areas for about 2-3 weeks and I can already see the difference! I know Bio-oil doesn't work for everyone and some people can't stand it but I think its worth a mention, It's faded some stretch marks so they are practically gone and the rest all are a lot less visible, which is something i thought would never happen. Such a brilliant product that you can pick up from just about anywhere!

Thank you if you made it this far!
