What's in my uni bag!

Hey Lovelies,

I picked this bag up recently from Urban Outfitters, you might have seen it in my last haul post (here) but I thought I would do another post on it as I'm slightly in love!
The bag originally was £48.00 but I had a £20 voucher and also student discount so it only cost me £23.20! Bargain!

You can probably just about see in this photo that the bag has 3 'compartments' the middle section is a zip up section where I tend to keep my more important bits like my phone or USB, things that I don't want to lose. Then either side you have two other sections which both fasten with a popper, this is where I keep my books and notebooks.

The thing I love about this bag is that its just big enough for an A4 folder which is perfect for uni!  Then on the very sides of the bag you have a smaller zip up pocket one side and  a small phone pocket the other, which is where I tend to keep my keys as I'm forever losing them!

I always have a copy of Company in my bag, I can sit and read it over and over again! Being a journalism student has its perks! This and my diary are pretty much always with me. Along with my purse which I picked up from Forever 21 last summer!

I keep a small make up bag with me too, although I've never been one of those girls to re apply make up through out the day, and I've normally got some form of perfume or spray with me. Along with gloves, because its still blooming freezing!

Review | Sleek Brow Kit

A few months back during the Bournemouth Bloggers Meet up ( you can see my post on that day here) Some of the lovely bloggers I meet and myself stopped over at Benefit in Bournemouth, while I was there I asked the lovely lady working to try out Benefits Brow Zings on me, and typically I loved it. However what I didn't love to much was the hefty price tag that came with it. Luckily before I shelled out £22.50, which if you ask me is a fortune for my eyebrows, someone told me that Sleek did an amazing dupe, which you can pick up in Superdrug!

The Sleek Brown Kit really does wonders and at a fraction of the cost (£8.50) I don't see myself ever buying another eye brow kit. The darker waxy shad is just right for my eyebrows and is perfect for a more subtle look in the day and If I want a more darker look on a night out. The Setting powder it perfect to finish my eyebrows off and fill in any gaps, and they don't budge all day and all night, which is one of my favourite things about this product. If I accidentally wipe my hand across myself I'm not left in panic that I've now got an eyebrow half was down my cheek!

I love the packaging and I think it truly lives up to the brands name 'Sleek' and I love that you get the two mini brushes which are more than perfect for the job. Im not to sure how much I like the tweezers and they're a bit on the small size for someone as cack-handed as me, but I'm sure one day they will come in handy. Overall I Love this product and highly recommend you give it a go!

Have you tried Sleek Brow Kit? What do you think?

Haul | Primark & Urban Outfitters!

Hey Lovelies!
I went out and did a spot of solo shopping today after uni (the joys of living so close to west quay!) and I thought I would share with you the things I picked up!

Deep Khaki Peplum Top - £4
First I picked up this top from Primark. I love these tops, I think they're perfect now to layer with cardigans and brilliant in the summer because they're so light. They add a little something extra to a standard T-shirt and I'm constantly dressing them up with Disco Pants for a night out!

Contrast Peplum Top - £8
While I was in Primark I also happened to see another peplum top hanging on its own on a random hanger. I love the black/white colour contrast in this top and although you can't really see in this the straps cross over at the back, which I think is a nice touch! I think I have a bit of a peplum obsession at the moment, but I love the trend, they're so versatile and really compliment my figure.

Already managed to get foundation on the neck! Typical!
Black and White Midi Length Bodycon - £10
This beautiful dress is by far my favourite purchase. On the hanger it doesn't look anything exceptionally special but on its really flattering and figure hugging in all the right places! I love this print its something I've never seen before and really eye catching! I've never owned a midi dress before but I thought this was a brilliant start.

I also picked up some Gel insoles. I can't imagine ever wearing a pair of heels without these! They really do stop my feet hurting, and they actually last for a relatively good time considering they are £1.50. I also picked up some gloves as I don't own a single pair! These are suitable for touch screen in the thumb and first finger and actually work, for £1.50 I'm not complaining!

A few of you who have me on instagram (meganmanneh) will have seen another Urban Outfitters bag I picked up a few months ago. I fell in love with that bag but after a few weeks the buckle broke leaving it useless so I went back to Urban Outfitters and they kindly gave me store credit which I've now used on this beauty! I think I'll do a separate post on the In's and out's of it but for now I thought I'd give you a sneak peak!

Review | Natio Paw Paw Lip Balm

Hey Lovelies,
A few of you may remember a few months back when i was lucky enough to win a give away, you can see the post on what  I won here! As part of that giveaway I won the Natio Paw Paw Lip Balm, which during the change in seasons and the cold weather has become my new best friend!
I don't normally suffer from severely chapped or dry lips, however like many people when the weather does get cold my lips feel the effect. A few weeks ago when It snowed my lips turned horribly dry and the first product I reached for was this little gem! I had used it a couple of times since I received it but I found it's really come into light during particularly cold weather.

What Natio Says
Daily lip care to moisturise, nourish and protect. The long-lasting, clear formula gives lips a light glossy sheen.

As you can probably tell its a seriously thick consistency, and at first it feels a bit odd applying it to your lips, its a lot thicker than a normal lip balm. There's also not really a particular smell that goes with this but when my lips are that dry a nice smell isn't really the most important thing I'm looking for.

I like applying this at night just before I sleep and when I wake in the morning I can still feel some of it on my lips! And they feel so much smoother and softer, it works wonders during this cold weather and has stopped my lips from getting to that sore horrible looking stage that has happened before!

This product is actually Australian, and I'm not sure how easy it is to get in the UK however I have seen Natio products being sold in Debenhams. Online this retails at around £6 So for something relatively inexpensive I would happily pick it up again!

Review | Benefit 'They're Real' mascara

Hey Lovelies!
Im one of those lucky few people who are blessed with naturally long, naturally curly eyelashes. I've never really had to worry about curling them and I'm asked a lot if they are my natural lashes.
But I'm still looking for that mascara that will gave me darker and fuller lashes as mascaras seem to just clump my lashes together.
I picked up 'They're Real' about a month ago when I saw it by the checkouts in boots, but I've had my eye on it for ages. Theres a lot of hype surrounding the mascara and I was curious to see if it lives up to it.

Benefit Says
'They're real! lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. Our jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!'

The first thing I noticed was the brush, I love how the bristles curl around the end of the brush, perfect for when you want to get into the corner of your eye. Also even though I picked up the travel sized brush I loved that the actual brush was full sized. Which made me feel better about forking out £9 for a travel sized mascara! Also I love the packaging, which is not surprising seeing as I love Benefits style.

When I apply the mascara you definitely only need one or two coats and the works done. The mascara fans out my lashes and boosts them, I wouldn't say it does a lot for the length of my lashes. But lengthening is never the first thing I look for in a mascara.

One good thing is that the mascara lasts all day, and doesn't smudge either. And even when it comes to taking it off its still there. The only problem then is its a bit of a pain to get off and I've found that even when I think Ive got it all off I end up waking up with a bit of panda eyes.

Over all a good little mascara, maybe slightly pricey at £18.50 for the full size but something I would consider picking up when I've run out of this one. It's probably not targeted for me and my long lashes so I don't see the huge 'wow' factor everyone else does, but still makes my lashes look a lot better and more dramatic with this mascara, and I love knowing I only need to apply it once to have a whole day of brilliant lashes, and They're Real has definitely become a staple part of my daily make up, and one of the best mascaras I've found!

Do you have 'They're Real'? What do you think about it?
