Top 5 Makeup Brushes!

Hey Lovelies 
Now, I'm not one of those girls who owns every makeup brush for every possible task you could possibly think of. In fact I don't think I even own close to 20 brushes, I'm sure my brush collection will grow but right now these are my top 5 brushes, the ones that I reach for on a daily basis. 

E.l.f Powder Brush - £3.75
 This is where my collection began (other than those little sets you get from you grandparents when your about 5) Before this brush my foundation went on with my fingers. I love this brush, Its so cheap and effective, perfect for anyone starting out with make up. The flat densely packed top makes this brush a brilliant multi tasker. Now I don't tend to use it for foundation but I like to apply powder with it, it works great at pressing the powder on and setting my make up! 

Real Techniques Buffing Brush (Core Collection £21.99)
 This brush is like a step up from the Powder Brush. Its slightly more domed shaped and does what it says on the tin! The longer you buff in your foundation the better result you get, It creates a flawless natural base and is incredibly soft. In my opinion a brush everyone should have in their collection! 

E.l.f Mineral Powder Brush - £3.75
 I love this brush for applying powder, I tend to carry this brush around in my handbag and use it with my powder, blush or bronzer for touch ups, when I don't have time to properly re apply my make up. Its great for sweeping product on when I'm in a rush. Although its similar to the powder brush, I had to include it because I use it daily for so many different things.

E.l.f Flat Eyeliner Brush £5.50
 I actually got this brush in a mystery bundle with one of my orders so didn't actually intentionaly buy it. I used to use this for my eyebrows with an eyeshadow, but more recently I started applying cream eyeliner with it. Its small flat top makes it perfect for precise application and I feel have a lot more control when I use the brush.

Real Techniques Contour Brush (Core Collection £21.99)
 This brush has become my Blush brush, I love the shape of the top of the brush and think it allows to blend in your blush well so your not left with clown cheeks! The smaller head also means you can precisely apply your blush and not go over the top. And like the rest of the Real Techniques brushes they feel incredibly soft against your skin!

Everyday Makeup!

 First of all I would like to say a hugeeeee thank you to all the amazing support I've had from you guys and also a Hi to all my new followers! I seem to be awful when it comes to regularity on my blog so I thought I'd come back with a quickie on my everyday make up! Im not a girl who wears make up every day. I don't see the point of slapping on a full face when theres only my dog to see the benefits! But if I'm going to work or out with friends these are the products I reach for on a daily basis!

What A Lucky Girl I Am!

I was completely overwhelmed by what I received, and completely grateful to Dawn for her giveaway. Ive been loving the jewellery and they have become statement pieces in my Outfits! Also Love the nail polishes because a girl can never have to many nail polishes! The Maybelline Baby Lips I now swear by, and when it runs out I may have to think about ordering it. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to try products not available in the Uk too, so thank you Dawn!  I can't wait to hold my own first  giveaway when I reach the 100 followers mark, I have a few ideas in mind, so keep your eyes peeled!

New Make-up Storage!

Hey Lovelies! 

 First of I would like to apologies with my awful reliability when it comes to making posts. My exam started kicking in and I had to priorities! My last exam was yesterday though and now I'm freeee for the summer! (which means regular posts :D) So I thought I would come back with my new storage! Ive been slowly but surely been buying some new bits for my desk just to make everything tidier and prettier. As you guys may have seen in my photos I used to have bottles and makeup all over my 'desk' and it was beginning to bug me and I decided to give it all a re-vamp! 

So this is the desk in question! I stupidly forgot to take a photo of the desk before I sorted it out but just picture a whole bunch of mess and your there! The desk is from Argos, which I got a few months ago, before a desk I was actually doing and storing my make up in a bag on the floor (How did I live?!) 

I've been looking for a set of draws like these for ages, but they were either too big or just plain ugly, I picked up the desk from Asda for around £6 which I thought was a bargain, It's just the right size for my desk and fits everything! 

One of the first things I got once I got my desk was this gorgeous 'My Jewellery' hooks. I got these from my friend, Brogans website The Beauty Closet, which I'm sure you've all heard off and if you haven't go check it out! I love these hooks they work so well with the area and saves me a visit from the tangle monster! 

Just next to and on top my draws is where I keep all my daily essentials. I keep all my brushes in an old pink piggy bank that I've had for years! The mirrored trinket box was a gift for my 18th birthday which was a few days ago. (look out for a birthday haul too!) In that I keep some earrings and hair grips. 

Onto the draws! The bottom draw is devoted to face, so I have my primers in the bottom right. Then I have my blushed and bronzers to the left. I used an old lunch box container to separate off my foundations and concealers (and yes I did purchase the full sized Hello Flawless, I'm in love!)

The next draw is eyes, and my elf HD powder which wouldn't fit in the face draw! Again I used an old lunchbox and in that I have kohl and liquid eyeliners, I have my cream eyeliners above that and then mascaras on the side.

The Next draw is lips! I don't have a huge amount of lip products as for succcch a long time I was convinced lipsticks didn't suit me (really it was the shades I was buying didn't suit me) Ive got my lip stains and glosses next to those and then some lip balms in the lunchbox with some odd earrings that I had nowhere else to go.

The top draw is a bit of a miscellaneous draw, still that I use on a less frequent basis, I've got a lot off testers in here from my Glossyboxes and then some contact lenses (I have awful sight) some body lotions and some nail stuff! 

Then underneath my desk I have my Glossyboxes stacked up (I'm a bit of a hoarder and the packaging is so cute I can't bring myself to throw it!) next to that I have a Frontcover face kit, and my GHDs in the corner. Then I have these two boxes which I have heard for years and nothing with on the shelves, they're from Ikea and they came in a set with two smaller ones and two bigger ones, can't remember the price though!. In the top one I have my products that I use on a less frequent basis, like some other body creams and body sprays, that kinda stuff, and the bottom one is full of all my nail varnishes! . And thats it, my new and improved beauty desk!

Review : Benefit boi-ing industrial-strength concealer

Hey lovelies! 

 So surprise surprise, I went shopping again! After spending days longingly stalking Benefits websites I caved and headed down to boots, and picked up boi-ing industrial strength concealer.To start with I wanted to clarify if your looking for an under-eye concealer boi-ing is not what your looking for. boi-ing is perfect for blemishes, marks and scars. If its an under-eye concealer Benefits erase paste is your gal!

Although I can see boi-ing is a good product that does what it claims, I can't say I'm in love with it yet, and I don't know if i would repurchase it. Don't get me wrong the thick creamy consistency gives you great coverage which lasts all day, the only problem I have with boi-ing is that it only comes in 5 shades, and as we all know there are a lot more than 5 different skin shades. Typically I fall in-between 04 and 05. I did get matched up in store by a lady at the counter but in my desperation I'm pretty sure I would have settled for anything to just have boi-ing in my life (sad, I know). However all is not lost, although it 05 is a tad to dark for me, with some heavy blending and foundation it does what I wanted it to do, cover up all the nasty bits! So I can't complain if they ever bought out more shades I would be the first customer, I only recommend making sure the colour is right for  you before forking out the £16.50. 

 Along with the concealer the lady gave me a couple free samples, which allows me to justify the £16! 

The first thing she gave me was the sample size of Hello flawless oxygen wow foundation which was great! During my days spent trawling Benefits website I had been very tempted by this foundation and was keen to try it out. She matched me in the shade hazelnut (I'm hopelessly hot), and even the names of the shades got me excited! the colour on this matches me great! I've worn it every day since I've got it, and started blending it with my usual foundation and B.B. cream just to make it last that little bit longer! Love it, and will definatley be buying the full size product! 

The last thing I was given was a sample of the Triple performing facial emulsion which I have actually tried before during a previous promotion Benefit did, where bringing any empty cosmetics bottle from any brand got you a sample of this product, I ended up with 3! And its safe to say I've not even finished the first. I never felt the product worked with my skin type which is spot prone and oily at times, however this was a good year-ish ago, and my skin care regime consisted of a make up wipe. So now I have another sample I may give it ago again!
